I don’t think that this really qualifies for the off-topic category because few things are enjoyed by the well-educated geek more than the music of P.D.Q. Bach…recovered for the modern age by musicolologist Professor Pete Schickele. I’ve had the distinct pleasure of taking a class with Schickele, and I even managed to catch a performance of P.D.Q. Bach. (There ARE advantages to living near the Twin Cities of Minnesota!)

Schickele’s newest composition is “The Emperor’s New Clothes.” I do hope he’ll unearth some new P.D.Q. Bach pieces soon, but in the meantime this sounds interesting.

    Adult Swim Ratings Still Strong

Oddly enough, ICv2 likes Adult Swim as well, but only hypes the anime side of it.

  • YES! Batman DVD Box Sets!

Posted on January 19th, 2004 thehutch No comments

So far, all of the Superman/Batman/Justice League animated shows have been released as single DVDs containing a couple episodes each. Finally, they will be releasing Batman box sets.

Let’s hope they start doing this for Justice League as well.

  • Stossel has a book?

I didn’t even realize John Stossel had a new book coming out, let alone that it would be hitting the shelves tomorrow! Guess I’ll add it to my Amazon wishlist.

I hadn’t encountered the Cartoon Laws of Physics before, but I can attest that they are all true.
