GREETINGS AND SALUTATIONS
Posted on January 28th, 2004 No commentsJust wanted to introduce myself to everyone… The name is Joshua Elder — former DC Comics intern, former Wizard magazine associate editor and newest member of the Monitor Duty family. Mike Hutchinson was nice enough (or insane enough, depending on your perspective) to invite me to become a regular poster to Monitor Duty, so look forward to a lot of kvetching about the sorry state of the Superman titles and the occassional philosphical digression. And if you’ve got entirely too much free time on your hands, go check out my website, The Planet Krypton.
Now, on to blogging!

Dawn of the Dead is coming!
Posted on January 28th, 2004 No commentsDawn of the Dead has a new trailer, and I wish I could see the trailer in a theater. When it gets to the end, you’ll understand why.
For a zombie movie, this looks quite well done and I think it will be much better than the overhyped 28 Days (which, I’m sorry, had an awesome first act but no story).

New “Passion” trailer
Posted on January 28th, 2004 No commentsThe Passion of The Christ has a new trailer combining the best of the two previous trailers. This new one is two minutes long and has a bit more story to it.
I will say this: if this music is from the soundtrack, the sales of that alone will pay for the movie!

Hugh Jackman is…KRULL!
Posted on January 28th, 2004 No commentsOh, no, wait…he’s Van Helsing! Sorry, the glave threw me.
If not for the crummy CGI, this movie would look great. After all…it has Frankenstein, the Wolf-Man and Dracula! Last movie to have all of them together was the execreble “Monster Squad.”
