He simply put was one of the greatest of all time. I am sure I speak for most older genre fans in saying that Mr. Heston holds a special place in our hearts. Planet of the Apes, Soylent Green, Omega Man, and more are part of what made him an Icon. Thanks Mr. Heston.

Click above for the details. But the gist of it is that Star Trek is being moved to a May 2009 opening instead of Christmas 2008 to take advantage of the summer box office. And some speculate it also is a result of possibly less competition that summer due to the writers strike. All I know I is that now I have to wait another 5 months. Arrrgh! Fargin’ Bastidges.
As you read this, thousands of comics are being packed up and shipped

Cold Cut Distribution, the leading distributor of independent and
small to mid-size press comics in the United States, has sold their
company assets to Rogue Wolf Entertainment.
Retailers can still access the online ordering system at
www.Coldcut.com, but be advised that Cold Cut will not be able to
fulfill new orders while the inventory is still being moved and set up
in the new warehouse.
“We expect to be back up to full speed by the end of February,” said
Lance Stahlberg, Vice President of Rogue Wolf. “We’ve already begun
to reach out to customers and publishers, making sure inventory gaps
are kept to a minimum as we rebuild.”
The new owners will continue to offer the same flat discount rate to
retailers, and will seek to extend the same terms to all new accounts
with previous Cold Cut customers.
“As a team, we bring twenty-four years experience in the distribution
business combined with a first-hand understanding of the needs of
independent publishers to the table,” Lance added. “We have the
resources to take this company to new heights.”
Keep an eye out for more information in the coming weeks!

Leonard Nimoy will reprise his role and Zachary Quinto (Syler from HEROES) has been cast as the younger Spock.
Abrams also announced that they are trying to figure a proper way to have William Shatner in the film as well.
The younger Kirk hasn’t been cast as yet. Likely whomever will be cast will have shown to have chemistry with Quinto in auditions.
Filming should start in November. Release date has been set for Christmas day of 2008.
It is springtime in the world of Star Trek again.
When the dust settles from the upcoming “Amazons Attack” story, Gail Simone will be taking over the writing of Wonder Woman. This is the kind of thing you’ll like, if you like this kind of thing. I think the two websites I linked to above can give you a pretty good idea of what to expect. There are a few more notes on the exhibit in my Extended Entry.
